What is the worth of Tapper and Thompson’s book on Biden? Let’s see a few of Pres. Biden’s accomplishments 2021-2024: Focus on Infrastructure, Economy and jobs; Single-handedly drew NATO and EU closer to confront invasion of Ukraine by Russia; taking on big Pharma to reduce Medicare drug charges; support of Labor and Education; wide distribution of pandemic ending vaccine. Versus current occupant of the White House accomplishments 2025: Swift dismantling of previous administration’s accomplishments. Saying that he would be a dictator only on “day one” of swearing in at inauguration, leading the U.S. away from democracy to daily signs and actions into autocracy.
What is the value to the public of Tapper and Thompson’s “Original Sin”, leading to blaming Biden for Trump’s second presidency. What it is guilty of, as most all reporting is the uncovering of the unspoken word – misogyny.
Tapper trying to eke out a rationale for the book as a service to the public to know health status of candidates and presidents. In the first administration of the then 45th president in 2017, it was widely publicized by a large group of respected psychiatrists and mental health professionals that the president was mentally unfit for the position; and is ongoing and continually evident in this current term.
There was no “mandate” or “overwhelming majority” in the 2024 election. Pres. Trump received two million more votes cast than V.P. Kamala Harris. Arguably swung by young males, and the last bastion of reaction to the women’s movement of the 1970’s, a stronghold now desperate to hold onto outmoded inhumane dominance.
Rather, Tapper steadily blames Biden for Trump’s small margin win. No mention in Original Sin of the damning report on Trump in 2017, and no mention of any action of Pres. Biden that would merit such concern for public safety and the public good.
Thompson admits research only began after the November 2024 elections. Again, what is the relevance of this effort?
